Job summary

The Haskell Company in Odessa, TX is seeking a Reality Capture & Digital Layout Engineer to leverage BIM/VDC technologies for design and construction across multiple projects. You will create model-based layouts, process laser scans, manage drone data, and develop 3D BIM content, collaborating with field teams and design disciplines.

This role requires travel to job sites and a hands-on approach to innovate and maintain project standards within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology required.
• 3+ years BIM/VDC experience preferred in AEC and reality capture.
• Proficiency with CAD software required; laser scanning and drone operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide model-based layout coordinates and coordination drawings for field surveying teams.
• Scan, process, register, and publish laser scan data for coordination.
• Create flight plans, conduct drone data collection, and process outputs.
• Convert point cloud information into BIM content for design and construction detailing.
• Support innovation through testing of new technologies and standards development.
• Collaborate with VDC staff to develop and maintain process standards.
• Support on-site layout needs and coordinate models across disciplines.
• Extract quantities from BIM for estimates and support scheduling/BD activities.
