Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a BIM/ VDC Intern to be based in Chicago, IL, working on the ORD 21 Program. The role starts Summer 2027 and offers on-site collaboration with senior teams across mega-projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing relevant degrees with a strong interest in BIM, VDC, and construction technology, including exposure to coordination tools and rendering platforms. Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
• Completed at least 1 year of study; recent graduates may apply for the master’s track.

Responsibilities

• Hands on experience with Drones, 3D-Printing, 360 Photos, Laser Scanning
• Learn to create 4D Animations using Synchro
• Create model content for business development pursuits to help win new work
• Create Visuals and Mine Project Data from multiple sources for Project Dashboards
• Shadow MEP Coordination Meetings on mega-projects across the country
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work
• Interns are assigned duties to provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience
