Job summary

AECOM Hunt in Chicago, IL is seeking a BIM/ VDC Intern to contribute to the ORD 21 Program this summer. The role offers hands-on experience with drones, 3D printing, laser scanning, and Synchro-based 4D animations.

You will assist in creating model content for pursuits, visuals, and project dashboards while shadowing MEP coordination on large-scale projects. This internship runs Summer 2027 with on-site work at Chicago offices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 1 year of study completed.
• Interest in BIM/VDC and construction management is preferred.
• Familiarity with BIM tools and coordination practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hands on experience with drones, 3D-printing, 360 photos, and laser scanning.
• Learn to create 4D animations using Synchro.
• Create model content for business development pursuits.
• Develop visuals and extract project data for dashboards.
• Shadow MEP coordination meetings on mega projects.
