Job summary

LeoForce in Philadelphia is seeking a BIM/VDC Designer to develop and coordinate detailed electrical designs for a variety of projects. You will work with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to ensure designs meet project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong BIM software skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Experience in electrical construction is highly preferred, with a focus on resolving design

Qualifications

• Experience as BIM/VDC Designer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in BIM software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in electrical construction industry is highly preferred.
• Ability to identify and resolve design conflicts and present cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and Drafting: Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models of electrical systems including conduit, cable tray, lighting, power distribution, and equipment; perform clash detection to resolve conflicts with other trades; produce installation drawings and shop drawings for field teams.
• Project Management: Manage scope, budget, and schedule; participate in coordination and project meetings.
• Collaboration and Communication: Communicate with project managers, project engineers, and field personnel; identify and resolve conflicts with the design team.
• Industry Knowledge: Maintain understanding of electrical construction processes.
• Work Environment: Office-based with standard office equipment.
