Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join the Ashburn, VA area BIM/VDC team. You will model interior and exterior scopes, perform clash detection, and coordinate with point cloud data to ensure fully coordinated PCI scope deliverables.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design and operations, maintaining project BIM standards, and supporting engineers with install drawings and layouts. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2-year degree with relevant experience.
• 4+ years BIM (Revit)/VDC modeling and coordination experience.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360 Design/Glue.
• Portfolio demonstrating work in Revit and Revit Family Editor.
• Experience with Bluebeam PDF Software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend kick-off meetings to confirm scope and requirements before modeling begins.
• Participate in BIM coordination and design meetings.
• Develop and model interior/exterior scopes using Revit and add‑ons.
• Coordinate with point cloud files and ensure spatial coordination.
• Perform BIM compliance checks and run clash detection with Navisworks.
• Provide design support including install drawings and layout files.
• Create and maintain project content and BIM standards.
• Collaborate with Design and Operations teams to improve processes.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
