Job summary

Valor Contracting is seeking a BIM Engineer to lead BIM and VDC initiatives across commercial construction projects. You will coordinate with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients to leverage model-based workflows for improved collaboration and risk reduction.

The role involves maintaining BIM models, coordinating MEP systems, producing visualizations, and developing BIM execution plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3+ years BIM, VDC, design coordination, or construction technology experience.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience coordinating commercial construction projects using model-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage BIM models throughout project design and construction.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, and MEP systems to resolve clashes.
• Create and maintain construction phasing plans, logistics simulations, and site utilization models.
• Utilize laser scanning, drone data, and reality capture to validate conditions and track progress.
• Support preconstruction with model-based estimating and quantity takeoffs.
• Produce high-quality visualizations, renderings, and model-based deliverables.
• Establish BIM execution plans, standards, workflows, and QC processes.
• Provide training and technical support on BIM platforms and VDC best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve project delivery and efficiency.
• Maintain model integrity, version control, and project documentation throughout lifecycle.
