Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a BIM/VDC Engineer to join the Virtual Design & Construction team in Washington, DC. This full-time, in-person role involves facilitating technology-driven problem solving and managing modeling efforts across projects.

Candidates need a degree in Construction Management or related fields and 0–4 years of BIM/VDC experience. The position offers a competitive compensation package and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of BIM/VDC experience working on commercial construction projects.
• Understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Basic understanding of the construction management process (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate problem solving using technology and collaboration with project teams.
• Coordinate workload for one or more projects with VDC Manager(s).
• Manage modeling efforts and deliverables to solve construction issues.

Skills

3D modeling and coordination tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks

Communication and time management skills

Microsoft Office and Bluebeam

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Computer Graphics, Engineering, Architecture
