Job summary

Performance Contracting, Inc. seeks an experienced Design Engineer for its PCI Washington, DC 566 operations based in Ashburn, VA. The role focuses on BIM/VDC modeling, coordination, and creating 3D Revit models for complex projects.

Responsibilities include leading kickoff meetings, coordinating with design/operations, and performing clash detections with Navisworks. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 4+ years of BIM experience and a strong portfolio in Revit and Revit Family Editor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering fields.
• 4+ years BIM (Revit)/VDC modeling and coordination experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating work in Revit and Revit Family Editor.
• Experience with Bluebeam PDF Software.

Responsibilities

• Attend kick-off meeting to confirm Level of Development, scope, project details, and contract requirements before modeling.
• Create 3D models utilizing Revit.
• Actively participate in BIM coordination and design meetings.
• Develop and model scopes including walls, ceilings, and raised access floors using Revit and add-ons.
• Coordinate with point cloud files and ensure spatial coordination.
• Perform BIM compliance checks and QC model against project documents.
• Use Navisworks to run clash detection and resolve PCI clashes.
• Coordinate with BIM/VDC service providers and clients.
