Job summary

Prime Electric seeks a skilled BIM professional to drive the BIM plan across commercial construction projects. The role involves managing staff, scope, and budgets while coordinating with Design and Construction teams to ensure models meet owner data requirements.

You will lead outsourcing decisions for BIM specialists, maintain project communication, and advance the use of Revit, Navisworks, and Forma across the portfolio. Onsite collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Two to three years’ experience as a Trade Coordinator.
• Two to three years’ experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical system installation, design, and code compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of BIM tools and practices on large projects in a cost-effective manner.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, Executives and peers.
• Experience developing or reviewing BIM Execution Plans for large projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and comment on BIM Execution Plans from Design and Construction teams.
• Oversee Design and Construction Teams to meet BIM Guidelines.
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure model content meets data requirements.
• Lead outsourcing decisions for BIM subcontractors and monitor performance.
• Establish and communicate a plan to all project stakeholders.
• Create and maintain the internal BIM execution plan for projects.
• Facilitate BIM project kick-off meetings and resolve technical issues.
