Job summary

Royal Electric Company is hiring a VC Modeler II in Dallas, TX. You will join the Virtual Construction Department to coordinate with project management and field leadership, using BIM tools to improve project quality, cost, and schedule.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship of junior modelers, and ongoing development of technical expertise in electrical construction practices. This is a hands-on, journey-level position with client and trade-partner interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience in BIM environment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings from multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with field operations to reflect build plans and coordinate to minimize errors.
• Assist VC Manager to understand modeling requirements and fabrication details.
• Communicate key deliverable dates to field operations and assign tasks to junior modelers.
• Manage relationships with clients and trade partners to enable BIM coordination meetings and clash resolution.
• Resolve model conflicts and post updates to client file shares or cloud hubs.
• Review 2D/3D work of junior modelers for accuracy and provide feedback.
• Perform model setup, maintenance, and manage views, sheets, and data.
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge in electrical codes and prefab methods.
• Mentor junior modelers and share file management and collaboration practices.
• Occasionally visit job sites to understand impact of modeling on project.
