Job summary

EC Electric is seeking a journey-level BIM Modeler 3 to support project delivery and standards. You will create detailed drawings, manage Revit models, and collaborate with the EC project team on layout and 3D coordination.

This role may function as a Detailer as directed by your supervisor. You should have hands-on experience with Revit, Navisworks, and Design Review, and the ability to produce organized, compliant drawings for pre-fabrication and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout and input of marked-up drawings into Revit in accordance with EC Standards.
• Setup of Revit views for EC Project team including electronic document filing and other facets of the drawings/model.
• Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for transmittal to other parties.
• Download drawings/information from web, SharePoint or project websites.
• Document and archive work per EC standard.
• Understand and follow EC confidentiality/Non-Disclosure requirements.
• Create Revit work sets and manage work sharing processes.
• Translate verbal/written direction into working design documents.
• Use current EC modeling software including manipulating Revit families, views, sheets, schedules.
• Coordinate 3D model with other trades; work with field supervision for layout/pre-fabrication.
• Lead teams or vendors to laser scan existing structures and deliver 3D models.
• Participate in job layout driven by 3D model data; verify elevations/dimensions with survey equipment.
• Transmit documents for design team via web or hard copy.
• Handle plotting/printing/reproduction systems.
• Import documents (spreadsheets, photos, images, word processing) into Revit.
• Maintain fluency in the current Revit version used.
