Job summary

Insight Global in Renton, WA is seeking a BIM Modeler Lead for a full-service electrical contractor to support project delivery through 3D modeling, coordination, and construction documentation.

You will develop and manage Revit models, produce drawing packages, coordinate designs across trades, and assist field teams with layout and prefabrication efforts. The ideal candidate has strong Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks skills and a track record of BIM standards and mentoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using Revit for BIM modeling and construction documentation.
• Experience leading a team of 2+ BIM professionals across multiple projects.
• Strong Navisworks experience for model coordination and clash detection.
• Experience working for an electrical contractor or supporting electrical construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Revit models and drawing packages.

Job description

Duration: 12 months - contract to hire after 1 year

Interview process: 1-2 rounds. 1st round virtual 1 hr panel. 2nd round onsite if they feel they need more of a feel for the person. Preferred interview days are Mondays and Fridays but they will make time on other days as needed.

Onsite: 5 days onsite required. Individual can pick start time between 6-8am.

A full-service electrical contractor is seeking a BIM Modeler Lead to support project delivery through 3D modeling, coordination, and construction documentation. This role will develop and manage Revit models, produce drawing packages, coordinate designs across multiple trades, and support field teams with layout and prefabrication efforts. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, understands BIM best practices, and can help drive modeling standards, manage worksharing environments, support laser scanning initiatives, and mentor team members on BIM tools and processes.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of experience using Revit for BIM modeling and construction documentation
• Experience leading, managing, or mentoring a team of 2+ BIM professionals while supporting multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong experience with Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection
• Experience working for an electrical contractor or supporting electrical construction projects

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Evolve Electrical, Stratus, Bluebeam, and/or other project management and coordination tools
• Experience developing BIM standards, processes, and training programs for team members
• Experience attending and/or leading trade coordination meetings with multiple stakeholders
