Job summary

Electra USA is seeking an Electrical BIM Coordinator/Engineer to support modeling, coordination, and engineering of electrical construction projects in a collaborative environment with senior staff and field teams.

You will develop coordinated, constructible drawings and assist with on-site surveys, field revisions, and closeout documentation. Strong Revit and coordination skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with electrical systems knowledge and NEC/NFPA standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support detailed Revit models for electrical deliverables.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other trade models in a 3D environment.
• Prepare layouts, details, sections, and panel schedules for electrical systems including power, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage.
• Review contract drawings and specifications against codes, revisions, and client requirements.
• Assist with electrical calculations including load, voltage drop, conductor sizing, and ampacity.
• Assist in coordination meetings, model reviews, and resolution of installation conflicts.
• Support submittals, RFIs, material takeoffs, equipment information and field revisions.
• Conduct on-site surveys to evaluate existing infrastructure and optimize field installations.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, coordination logs, meeting records, and as-built documentation.
• Perform quality-control reviews and follow BIM/drafting standards.
