Job summary

Shimizu North America seeks a skilled BIM Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and management of BIM across design and construction projects. You will drive the development of BIM execution plans, ensure model integrity, and guide the team in using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Procore to support decision making.

Key focus areas include clash detection, 4D scheduling integration, Forma administration, and ongoing training for project teams.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience as a BIM Manager or similar role in design or construction.
• Experience with industrial projects and with structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of design-build project delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• BIM Implementation Planning: develop and implement BIM execution plans for design and construction projects.
• Coordination and Collaboration: facilitate communication among architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors; extract quantities from the 3D model.
• Model Management: oversee creation, organization, and maintenance of BIM models, ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Quality Control: conduct checks on BIM models and data for accuracy and consistency with specs.
• Scheduling: integrate Master Schedule into 4D schedules and simulations.
• Autodesk Forma Administration: manage Forma site folders and permissions for coordination.
• Training and Support: train project team members on BIM tools, processes, and workflows.
• BIM Standards and Best Practices: stay updated and drive continuous BIM implementation improvement.
