Experience coordinating large, data‑rich geospatial models between the different engineering disciplines and projects is essential.

The BIM Manager will serve as the Revit‑focused member of the Information Technology (IT) team and as the firm's technical authority for Revit and associated modeling standards. The IT team supports production teams while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality across all project deliverables. This role requires close coordination with engineers, designers, clients, and external consultants and a strong understanding of industry practices.

What you'll do
  • Develop, document, implement, and maintain firm‑wide Revit standards, templates, libraries, and workflows.
  • Coordinate Revit standards with the T&H AutoCAD and Civil 3D standards to maintain consistency and transparency.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of firm‑wide BIM workflows and standards in coordination with IT and engineering leadership.
  • Coordinate imports/exports between structural analysis software and Revit models where applicable.
  • Coordinate large and complex models incorporating survey data, point clouds, and other geospatial datasets.
  • Support modeling and documentation of environmental systems, including stormwater, water/wastewater, remediation, and site infrastructure.
  • Interface with structural, civil, environmental, and other staff to ensure multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Assist with development of structural, civil, and environmental details and typical sections for firm libraries.
  • Perform model and drawings quality control reviews to verify compliance with firm standards, client BIM requirements, constructability, and coordination conflicts.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for engineering and design staff.
  • Coordinate with IT regarding software versions, licenses, hardware needs, and data management practices.
  • Efficiently communicate and coordinate efforts across multiple projects and teams.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment while supporting multiple concurrent projects.
  • Actively participate in professional, technical, and industry‑related organizations as appropriate.
What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) – Revit.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working with Revit and AutoCAD (including Civil 3D) in a structural, civil, and/or environmental engineering environment, with demonstrated responsibility for standards development and model coordination.
  • Proven experience developing, enforcing, and maintaining Revit and AutoCAD standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD in a production‑oriented environment.
  • Experience coordinating large geospatial datasets, including survey files, GIS data, and point clouds.
  • Understanding of structural materials and systems (i.e., concrete, masonry, structural steel).
  • Experience with Revit Structure, including structural framing, foundations, rebar modeling, structural schedules and quantities.
  • Understanding of water and wastewater process piping materials, systems, and workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry practices and construction documentation.
  • Ability to support hybrid CAD/BIM workflows and legacy project integration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to train and support staff.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and data quality.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with private and public sector projects.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with BIM execution plans, coordination processes, and model performance optimization.
  • Experience with Dynamo or other automation tools is a plus.
