Thomas & Hutton is searching for an experienced civil engineer to lead large-scale, multi-phase site development projects across the Southeast. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, work directly with clients, and own projects from concept through delivery in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and PE strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in civil engineering design.
• Experience producing site design plans for large-scale, multi-phase projects.
• Strong understanding of civil site development including grading and utility infrastructure.

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support design development and project execution.

• Support proposal development and contribute to project planning efforts.

What You'll Do

• Manage large-scale, multi-phase civil site development projects for mission critical clients
• Prepare and oversee the development of construction drawings for site grading, water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure
• Lead project teams to deliver design solutions that meet scope, schedule, and quality objectives
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
• 6+ years of experience in civil engineering design
• Experience producing site design plans for large-scale, multi-phase projects
• Strong understanding of civil site development including grading and utility infrastructure
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-facing focus
• Strong leadership abilities and experience working within project teams
• Understanding of business metrics for project success
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflow
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
