Job summary

MIINC Mechanical Contractors is seeking a BIM Detailer to design and create layouts for plumbing and mechanical systems in commercial and industrial buildings. The role involves coordinating layouts with other trades and ensuring designs are prepared for installation.

The BIM Detailer will develop detailed drawings and models, generate documentation for fabrication, procurement, and project close-out, and work closely with project teams in a schedule-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience detailing plumbing and mechanical systems in commercial/industrial construction.
• Field experience in plumbing/mechanical trades preferred or related detailing.
• Proficient with Autodesk software: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Trimble or similar DM software.
• Ability to read/interpret construction documents from all trades.

Responsibilities

• Design and create layouts for plumbing and mechanical systems in buildings.
• Coordinate layouts with other trades during design.
• Develop shop drawings with annotations for submission and approval.
• Create drawings and documentation for field installation.
• Generate BOMs and material schedules for procurement.
