Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a skilled BIM Detailer to lead and support the BIM/VDC coordination across electrical infrastructure projects.

You will develop, coordinate, and maintain 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and field teams. The role requires 3+ years in BIM/VDC or drafting, proficiency in Revit/Navisworks/Bluebeam, and strong communication in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of BIM, VDC, or drafting experience in electrical/construction environments.
• Strong proficiency with Revit.
• Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
• Bluebeam and Inventor experience (Inventor preferred).
• Experience with 3D models, drawings, and coordination workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering, PMs, and field teams to resolve conflicts.
• Assist with model integration, updates and version control.
• Use BIM tools for layout, routing, constructability reviews, and field planning.
• Generate and review 2D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate model changes.
• Support BIM standards, workflows and best practices.
• Contribute to high‑quality project outcomes in fast‑paced environment.
