Job summary

McMillan Pazdan Smith in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Design Technology Support Specialist to provide responsive BIM and digital practice support. You will work with the Design Technology Manager to assist Revit, Autodesk Forma, and related tools, helping teams implement firm standards and optimize workflows.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in the AEC industry, strong communication, and a passion for helping teams work efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in the AEC industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, architectural technology, computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Revit worksharing, linked models, Autodesk Forma workflows, model audits, and project upgrades.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Forma and cloud-based project delivery workflows.
• Practical experience implementing BIM standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support Autodesk and related design technology applications including Revit, Forma, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and visualization tools.
• Serve as the first point of contact for project level design technology support requests.
• Develop, implement, and maintain design technology standards, documentation, processes, best practices, and workflows.
• Create, manage, and support Autodesk Forma projects including project setup, member management, permissions, model coordination, and data integration.
• Assist with project startup activities including standards transfer, template deployment, project setup, upgrades, and archiving.
• Monitor project model health and identify opportunities for performance improvements and workflow enhancements.
• Support Revit templates, families, project standards, and content libraries.
• Promote BIM and digital delivery best practices through training and project support.
