Job summary

McMillan Pazdan Smith is seeking a Design Technology Support Specialist to provide project‑level BIM support and advance digital practice. You will partner with the Design Technology Manager to support Revit, Autodesk Forma, and related tools while helping teams apply firm standards and optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in the AEC industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, architectural technology, computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Revit worksharing, linked models, Autodesk Forma workflows, model audits, and project upgrades.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud), Forma Design Collaboration, and cloud-based project delivery workflows.
• Practical experience implementing BIM standards, project workflows, and quality control procedures.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical support in an AEC environment.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam, NavisWorks, Forma Site, Rhino, Enscape, and energy modeling software.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 suite.
• Strong communication and ability to explain complex concepts to varying software levels.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support Autodesk and related design technology apps including Revit, Forma, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and visualization tools.
• Serve as the first point of contact for design technology support requests.
• Assist in developing and maintaining design technology standards, docs, processes, and workflows.
• Create, manage, and support Autodesk Forma projects including setup, permissions, and model coordination.
• Assist with startup activities: templates, project setup, upgrades, and archiving.
• Monitor model health and identify opportunities for performance improvements.
• Assist with developing Revit templates, families, and content libraries.
• Promote BIM and digital delivery best practices through training and project support.
• Coordinate with the Design Technology Manager to evaluate, test, and deploy new software and workflows.
• Help ensure model quality and compliance through project reviews and support.
