Job summary

McMillan Pazdan Smith is seeking a Design Technology Support Specialist to empower design teams with BIM and digital delivery tools. You will troubleshoot Revit, Forma, Navisworks, and related workflows, develop standards, and mentor staff on best practices.

You will collaborate with the Design Technology Manager to test new software, optimize models, and ensure compliance with firm standards across projects in the Charlotte area.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in the AEC industry.
• Experience with Revit worksharing and model audits.
• Experience implementing BIM standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support Autodesk and related design technology applications including Revit, Forma, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and visualization tools.
• Serve as the first point of contact for project level design technology support requests.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of design technology standards, technical documentation, processes, best practices, and workflows.
• Create, manage, and support Autodesk Forma projects including project setup, member management, permissions, model coordination, and data integration.
• Assist with project startup activities including standards transfer, template deployment, project setup, upgrades, and archiving.
• Monitor project model health and identify opportunities for performance improvements, model optimization, and workflow enhancements.
• Assist with the development, maintenance, and deployment of Revit templates, families, project standards, and content libraries.
• Promote adoption of BIM and digital delivery best practices through training, mentoring, and project support.
• Coordinate with the Design Technology Manager to evaluate, test, and deploy new software, tools, and workflows.
• Assist project teams in maintaining model quality and compliance with firm standards through project reviews and support.
