Job summary

Gensler in Washington, DC seeks a Design Technology Lead to drive BIM and digital project delivery across the Southeast Design Technology team and regional offices. You will develop BEPs, coordinate workflows, and mentor project teams to ensure high standards of coordination and quality.

You will also lead training, maintain documentation, and promote adoption of BIM workflows while collaborating with IT and global design technology teams to align with broader goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of AEC industry experience.
• Experience leading or supporting BIM implementation and digital project delivery.
• Strong proficiency in BIM authoring tools (e.g., Revit) and coordination platforms.
• Experience developing and maintaining BIM Execution Plans and related documentation.
• Proven ability to provide technical support, mentorship, and training to project teams.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and model coordination practices.
• Experience with design collaboration platforms and cloud-based tools (Autodesk Forma/ACC/BIM 360, Navisworks, Speckle, Revizto).
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to promote adoption of standards and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for projects across the region.
• Update BEPs and training docs to reflect evolving needs, standards, and procedures.
• Coordinate and manage BIM workflows and project setup.
• Set up models and ensure accurate coordination across project teams.
• Oversee daily model management, including admin, maintenance, and QC.
• Provide BIM training to ensure consistent adoption of workflows and standards.
• Develop training materials and guidance for teams at varying BIM maturity levels.
• Communicate changes in BIM procedures and ensure adoption by teams.
• Promote efficient processes through BIM and design technology tools.
• Translate data-driven insights into practical project applications.
