Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for the PCI San Diego 571 operations in San Diego, CA. You will create and coordinate BIM models and support project coordination across trades.

Responsibilities include BIM modeling in Revit, clash detection in Navisworks, and developing installation drawings while collaborating with clients and internal teams. A strong background in BIM/VDC and field-ready documentation is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of BIM/Revit modeling and VDC coordination experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred; 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma, and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of design and construction document coordination.
• Ability to demonstrate Revit and Revit Family Editor experience through a portfolio.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong communication, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Revit for assigned construction scopes.
• Coordinate BIM with point clouds, project documents, and other trades for spatial accuracy.
• Perform BIM quality control, clash detection, and coordination checks using Navisworks Manage.
• Develop project-specific Revit content, families, and installation drawings.
• Prepare CAD, Navisworks, and BIM files for field use and support installation.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to improve BIM/VDC processes.
• Support laser scanning and reality capture to verify conditions and improve coordination.
• Utilize robotic layout to generate field layout points and improve accuracy.
