Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a BIM Coordinator to advance automation in production design. You will mentor teams, coordinate across ICT, Security, AV, and Health Care Technology, and ensure fully coordinated BIM models and deliverables. The role collaborates with MEP/FP and Architect teams and external BIM groups to manage data exchange.

You will coach engineers in BIM implementation, support primary BIM applications, and help drive process improvements and documentation across projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, clash detection, and coordination processes.
• Understanding of ICT, Security, AV discipline processes is beneficial.
• Experience with BIM execution plans and detailed modeling plans for design phases.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Stantec drafting and BIM standards on projects.
• Check model consistency across disciplines and during reviews.
• Educate and support teams on BIM applications and best practices.
• Document procedures and workflows for data post-processing and modeling.
• Suggest improvements to company processes with constructive input.
• Assist with pilot testing of new BIM tools and add-ins.
• Perform model audits to ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan.
• Provide mentoring for Revit users and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with design teams to implement procedural changes and improvements.
• Set up projects to ensure delivery conforms to BIM standards.
