Job summary

MultiPoint Engineering, Inc. is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support our MEP design teams with advanced Revit and AutoCAD expertise.

You will coordinate and troubleshoot BIM models, collaborate with architects and other disciplines, and help integrate BIM processes across the firm. A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential as you review designs and ensure BIM standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (MEP/Architecture).
• Experience as a BIM Coordinator in an MEP or architectural firm.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for BIM modeling and coordination.
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve clashes and design discrepancies.
• Effective communication for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Assist in creating and managing project BIM standards, templates, and libraries for consistency and quality.
• Act as a primary contact for design teams, providing BIM guidance and support.
• Identify and resolve clashes and coordination conflicts between disciplines.
• Participate in coordination meetings to address design issues and propose solutions.
• Review designs and specifications to ensure BIM standard adherence and accuracy.
• Stay up-to-date with BIM trends, tools, and best practices for MEP workflows.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM workflows to streamline processes.

As a BIM Coordinator at MultiPoint, you will support our MEP design teams with advanced Revit and AutoCAD expertise to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our projects. You will coordinate and troubleshoot BIM models, collaborate with architects and other disciplines, and help integrate BIM processes across the firm. A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Assist in the creation and management of project-specific BIM standards, templates, and libraries to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
• Act as a point of contact for design teams, providing guidance and support on BIM-related issues and challenges.
• Identify and resolve clashes, conflicts, and discrepancies within BIM models to ensure smooth coordination between various disciplines.
• Participate in coordination meetings to address design conflicts and propose solutions, actively contributing to the resolution of design issues.
• Review design documentation, drawings, and specifications to verify accuracy and adherence to BIM standards.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to BIM, MEP systems, and software tools.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of BIM workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications (preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role in an MEP engineering or architectural firm
• Proficiency in using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for creating, coordinating, and managing BIM models
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design conflicts and discrepancies
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients
