Job summary

The Walsh Group seeks an Assistant Construction Tech Manager in Atlanta, GA to lead 3D model analysis, coordination, and constructability studies across the Water Division. You will evaluate design docs, coordinate with design and trade partners, and refine technical processes while guiding a team with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Travel to jobsites in the Atlanta area is required; relocation may be needed for some projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Construction Technology Engineer or similar.
• Some travel required.
• Ability to transport at least 50 pounds.
• Relocation may be required for the role.
• Proficient in 3D modeling, drafting, visual scheduling, graphic design, animation, AV production/editing, LiDAR/SLAM, photogrammetry, and drone operations.
• Strong collaboration management, critical thinking, and communication; knowledge of construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process of 3D model construction for constructability and coordination.
• Evaluate design docs and schedules for opportunities and risks.
• Audit 3D models from design/trade partners for risks.
• Refine processes and develop new technical services.
• Review graphic media for clarity; edit content where needed.
• Coordinate project communications, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Resolve competing interests among project participants.
• Advise and train less experienced staff.
• Assist with estimating project services.
• Assist with project closeout activities.
