Qualifications

• Experience in processing insurance carrier payments/denials.
• Accurate charge entry and billing in a practice management system.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills to identify charge capture issues.
• Ability to contact patients and set up payment plans.
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding guidelines.
• Keeping up-to-date with billing system changes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee charge entry, claims submission and tracking, collecting, and payment posting.
• Ensure correct coding, timely charge entry, billing compliance.
• Provide training and oversight of the billing and collections employees.
• Review charge entry batches and provide feedback to staff.
• Report to Billing & Coding Manager and assist in staff selection and scheduling.
