Adult & Child Health in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Billing Specialist Supervisor to lead a compassionate administration team.

You’ll oversee insured billing processes, ensure timely submissions, monitor denials, and mentor staff to improve accuracy and efficiency. The role requires a bachelor’s or equivalent experience in health or business, five years in insurance billing, strong communication and problem solving, and proficiency with common billing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health, human services, business, or related field OR equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in insurance billing or bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise commercial billing staff with guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure accurate and timely insurance claim submissions and resolve billing issues impacting reimbursement.
• Monitor unpaid/denied claims, review appeals, and communicate status to leadership.
• Maintain reporting on billing timelines, denials, and payments; analyze trends quarterly.
• Oversee receivables and support collections, write-offs, and reimbursements; adjust workloads as needed.
• Provide leadership for change initiatives and staff development; perform other duties as assigned.
