Job summary

Holland & Hart LLP in Boise seeks a Billing Specialist to manage client bills using accounting software and e-billing tools, ensuring accurate time and disbursement entries and meeting deadlines.

You will support attorneys and staff with billing questions, work with clients on billing guidelines, and assist the Client Accounting team with month-end tasks. This role offers a hybrid in-office schedule after an initial period and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of related experience or Associate Degree and equivalent experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of accounting software and basic accounting principles.
• Analytical skills to apply knowledge and foresee problems.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Above-average typing and ten-key skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities to prioritize and complete bills on time.
• Good interpersonal/communication skills with all levels of staff.
• Dependability and positive team attitude; confidentiality required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle all billing for specified attorneys/clients.
• Assist attorneys and staff with billing questions.
• Work with clients on billing guidelines and e-billing setup.
• Process time, disbursement, and billing reports for attorneys, staff, and clients.
• Verify data in client and e-bill databases for accuracy.
• Assist Client Accounts Supervisor with credit/trust research and reconciliations.
• Support month-end accounting functions.
• Perform back-up duties for Client Accounting team.
• Maintain proficiency in accounting software, Word and Excel.
