Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a detail‑driven Billing Specialist to manage routine and non‑routine billing tasks for complex contracts in a fast‑paced environment. You will handle adjustments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate customer accounts with a strong focus on process compliance.

Ideal candidates will have experience in service billing, solid Excel skills, and a proactive approach to research and problem‑solving across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in billing for a service-based industry.
• Strong understanding of billing transactions and processes.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills for data handling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly billing adjustments, obtain approvals, and enter adjustments into the billing system.
• Research and resolve routine and non-routine billing questions and discrepancies.
• Review invoices for completeness and accuracy and follow up on discrepancies with customers or internal staff.
• Calculate and prepare manual billings for non-routine, complex arrangements.
• Prepare remittance advices and post payments to customer accounts.
• Assist with customer set up in billing systems and support colleagues as needed.
