Job summary

HDR, a leading firm, seeks a Billing Specialist 1 to join our Omaha team. You will collaborate with billing professionals to generate invoices, implement contract requirements, and set up billing terms within HDR accounting software.

You will handle a high volume of customer invoices, coordinate with departments to meet client needs, and ensure timely, accurate billing in line with company policies. The role emphasizes accuracy, problem solving, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume billing environment or in the A/E/C industry preferred.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Oracle E-Business Suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of billing professionals to prepare system-generated invoices for accurate, timely billing.
• Implement contract requirements while maintaining company controls.
• Set up contract and billing terms within HDR accounting software.
• Generate a high volume of customer invoices as directed by Billing Managers.
• Work with user departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing of clients while complying with company policies.
• Track and document contract billing requirements for customers.
• Research and correct billing issues.
• Test new software functionality.
• Other duties as assigned.

In the role of Billing Specialist 1, we'll count on you to:

• Work with a team of billing professionals to prepare system generated invoices to provide accurate and timely billing using HDR accounting software.
• Implement contract requirements while maintaining company controls.
• Set up contract and billing terms within HDR accounting software
• Generate a high volume of customer invoices as directed by Billing Managers
• Work with user departments to assure customers requirements are met

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high volume billing environment and/or experience within the A/E/C industry preferred

• Local candidates preferred
