Job summary

HDR invites you to join a team of billing professionals in a fast-paced environment. As a Billing Specialist 1 you will prepare system generated invoices, set up contract and billing terms, generate invoices, and ensure accuracy and timeliness in billing across departments.

You will collaborate with various teams, research billing issues, test new software, and help maintain internal controls while supporting HDR's commitment to inclusion and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Experience in high-volume billing preferred.
• Oracle E-Business Suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare system generated invoices using HDR accounting software.
• Implement contract requirements while maintaining company controls.
• Set up contract and billing terms within HDR accounting software.
• Generate a high volume of customer invoices as directed by Billing Managers.
• Work with user departments to assure customers requirements are met.
• Ensure the accurate and timely billing of clients while complying with company policies.
• Track and document contract billing requirements for customers.
• Research and correct billing issues.
• Test new software functionality.
• Other duties as assigned.

In the role of Billing Specialist 1, we'll count on you to:

• Work with a team of billing professionals to prepare system generated invoices to provide accurate and timely billing using HDR accounting software.
• Implement contract requirements while maintaining company controls.
• Set up contract and billing terms within HDR accounting software
• Generate a high volume of customer invoices as directed by Billing Managers
• Work with user departments to assure customers requirements are met

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high volume billing environment and/or experience within the A/E/C industry preferred
• Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Oracle E-Business Suite experience
• Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications

• Must be team-oriented and able to work with a variety of people in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Must be self-motivated, flexible well-organized and detail-oriented
• Requires analysis and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
