About the Role:
Out of the Box Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to lead and manage our end-to-end billing operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate client billing, timely invoicing, and exceptional communication around all billing-related matters.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in billing and accounting processes, experience using QuickBooks and Salesforce, and a proactive, client-focused approach to problem-solving and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the full billing lifecycle, including client setup, invoice generation, and distribution.
• Set up new customer accounts accurately in QuickBooks and Salesforce.
• Generate, review, and send client invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing schedules.
• Oversee the billing inbox, responding to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Address and resolve billing questions or discrepancies from clients with clarity and efficiency.
• Provide support with Accounts Payable processes during high-volume or overtime periods.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards throughout all billing operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and finance to maintain billing accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or accounting support roles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop is required, with familiarity in Salesforce preferred. Experience with Maximo is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and ensure accuracy in all billing functions.
