Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Billing Specialist in our Tinton Falls, NJ office to prepare and verify invoices, update records, and coordinate with Sales. You will ensure accuracy, manage data, and support the accounting team with billing cycles.

The role emphasizes analytical math, strong organization, excellent communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment with in-office work. Overtime may be required during month-end close.

Qualifications

• Experience as billing clerk or in accounting with confidentiality.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with NetSuite/JWS is a plus.
• Strong math, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify invoices, update records, and coordinate with Sales.
• Generate invoices through an automated system and send by mail or email.
• Maintain daily logs and reconciliations for billing accuracy.
• Assist customers and internal teams with invoice questions.
• Report to upper management as requested. Maintain attendance.

Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Billing Specialist based out of our Tinton Falls, NJ office for our East Region. This role is responsible for preparing and verifying invoices, updating records, and coordinating with Sales. Accuracy, organization, math skills, and computer proficiency are essential for managing financial data efficiently.

Day to Day

• Checking the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill
• Generate invoices through an automated system and send them to customers through various channels (mail, e-mail etc.)
• Maintain daily logs/reconciliations to ensure accuracy of billing.
• Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
• Assist customers, sales and accounting team with any questions, comments or concerns regarding invoices and statements.
• Report to upper management as requested.
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Monday through Friday, in office schedule. Overtime may be required during month end process.

About You

• Proven experience as billing clerk or general accounting experience. Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g., NetSuite and JWS) will be appreciated.
• Excellent math ability.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive, Team-based attitude

Compensation

• $51,198 - $65,111 annually
