Job summary

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Billing Specialist to support our client's team in a remote US setting. The role is temporary (approximately 1 year) with an expected hourly rate of $70.00, non-exempt and standard M-F hours.

You will own billing inquiries from open to close, handle escalations, and work cross-functionally to resolve issues while ensuring accurate invoicing and timely cash application.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of customer-facing experience in accounts receivable, billing operations, or high-volume customer operations.
• Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills including lookups and pivots.
• Experience working with a ticket or case queue and translating contracts to invoices.
• Strong attention to detail to catch variances in invoices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line contact for high-volume billing and invoice-to-cash cases.
• Own escalations from Sales and GTM teams across Billing, Sales Ops, RevOps, Tax, and Support.
• Coordinate with customers to obtain remittances and clarify details until issues close.
• Support Collections and Cash Application with payment research and admin tasks.
• Reconcile customer ledgers across payment processor, billing systems, and GL.
• Identify recurring process gaps and flag fixes; follow up on engineering fixes.

Job Title: Billing Specialist

Location: Remote (US)

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $70.00 – 70.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employment Type: Temporary, approximately 1 year

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours (no time zone preference)

Job Summary

• Serve as a front-line contact for high-volume customer billing and invoice-to-cash questions, owning each case from open to close within team SLAs
• Own internal escalations from Sales and GTM teams, getting answers from Billing, Sales Ops, RevOps, Tax, and Support
• Work directly with customers to get missing remittances, clarify details, and send clear responses until each issue is closed
• Support Collections and Cash Application with payment research, unapplied cash investigations, and admin and transactional work
• Reconcile customer ledgers across the payment processor, billing systems, and GL when payments, credits, or balances don't match
• Spot recurring process and system gaps and flag them for fixes
• Escalate and track system configuration and engineering fixes until they're resolved

Requirements

• 2–5 years of customer-facing experience in accounts receivable, billing operations, order to cash, finance operations, or high-volume customer operations
• Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivots, and reconciliation logic
• Experience working a ticket or case queue and understanding how customer contracts translate into invoices
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to catch variances and mismatched invoice numbers or dates
• Clear, professional written communication with customers and internal partners
• Experience with Stripe, NetSuite, Tesorio, JIRA, or similar tools, plus exposure to SaaS or usage-based billing, preferred
• Able to work remotely in the US, manage a queue on your own, and reprioritize quickly; daily use of AI tools is a plus
