Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey seeks a Senior Manager for Billing and Enrollment operations. You will oversee multiple teams to ensure timely bills, enrollment completion, and accurate revenue reporting for commercial and fully insured groups.

Responsibilities include month-end close, rate renewals, and Medicare/Medigap billing oversight. This role requires strong leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across Finance and IT.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of billing and enrollment operations experience.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume, transaction-driven environments.
• Prior service operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize billing and enrollment processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead cross-functional projects with IT and internal/external stakeholders.
• Maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and standards.
• Manage departmental expenses within approved budgets.
• Oversee delinquency management and premium collection activities.
• Mentor supervisors and staff in premium billing and collection functions.
• Build relationships with brokers, sales teams, and customers for timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with vendors to monitor SLAs and staffing needs for enrollment and billing.
