Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey seeks a senior leader to oversee billing and enrollment teams, ensuring timely, accurate bills and enrollment, while reporting revenue and managing receivables. The role includes controlling premiums, renewals, audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of managerial experience in billing/enrollment operations, a finance/accounting background, and strong leadership with a focus on process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of billing and enrollment operations experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with process improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple billing and enrollment teams to ensure timely, accurate bills and enrollment.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoice reconciliation, and premium collection activities.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end revenue reporting with Finance.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with laws, policies and standards.
• Drive process improvements and cross-functional collaboration with IT and stakeholders.
• Mentor supervisors and staff in premium billing and collections.
• Build relationships with brokers, sales teams, and customers to resolve issues.
• Monitor SLAs with external vendors and staffing requirements for enrollment and billing.
• Support annual rate renewal and Medicare/Medigap billing validations.
