Qualifications

• 5+ years of medical billing experience, including 3+ years in supervision.
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and federal behavioral health regs.
• Proficiency with billing/EMR systems and financial reporting tools.
• Certifications preferred: CPC, CCS, or CPB.
• Proven leadership with team development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day billing department operations, including workflow, staffing, training, and discipline.
• Coordinate billing needs for new centers and DeNovo facilities.
• Monitor payment trends and adjust billing and collections strategies.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance across all billing activities.
• Collaborate with operations to align billing requirements across facilities.
• Ensure timely month-end close and reporting from the billing department.
• Develop and implement staff training on compliance and billing policies.
• Conduct staff evaluations and manage development plans.
