Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Billing Representative II to join our Pennsylvania team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM Eastern, with a starting pay range of $17.20+ per hour.

The position focuses on reviewing remittances, handling refunds and adjustments, and communicating with insurance carriers to ensure accurate revenue collection. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of medical billing experience, is proficient with Excel, and can read and translate EOBs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Medical Billing experience
• Ability to read and translate EOB and insurance correspondence
• Ability to create and modify spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel
• Must be 18 years of age OR older

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurately reviewing and applying third party remittance
• Process insurance/patient refunds and adjustments
• Outbound calls to insurance carriers to reconcile/resolve any issues
• Familiar with explanation of benefits
• Always maintain Compliance and HIPPA standard
• Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics
• Meet or exceed daily quality standards
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned
• Evaluate and respond to all email requests for any AR issues to resolve in a timely manner

Pay range: $17.20+ per hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

In an environment where the patient is at the center of everything that we do the individuals in this position typically works with Billing Representatives and other employees handling complex billing issues for the purpose of collecting revenue for the organization. Will work with Patient, Client and/or Third Party insurance bills.
