Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Collections Representative to manage third-party accounts receivable and communicate with insurance carriers. The role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a pay rate starting at $17.71 per hour and eligibility for performance bonuses.

Responsibilities include analyzing denied claims, appealing status, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while delivering timely refunds and adjustments. A high school diploma and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to create and modify spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
• Availability to work Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST.

Responsibilities

• Manage third-party accounts receivable by analyzing denied and un-responded claims
• Place outbound calls to insurance carriers to appeal and check claim status
• Coordinate with carriers to reconcile/resolve claims issues
• Familiar with explanation of benefits
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards
• Meet or exceed daily production and quality metrics
• Process insurance/patient refunds and adjustments
• Respond to emails regarding AR issues in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Title

Collections Representative – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (PST, MST, CST).

Pay

$17.71+ per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including skills, training, experience, education, and certifications, as well as market and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
