Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Minnesota is seeking a Billing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day billing, AR, and collections at our Sauk Rapids location. You’ll supervise a billing team, ensure accurate claims processing, and collaborate with other departments to optimize revenue and service for residents and facilities.

The role requires a high level of accuracy, 5+ years in billing, and leadership experience; Pharmacy Technician credentials may be required by state agencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five or more years of related billing, accounts receivable, collections, or claims experience; advanced degree may substitute.
• Pharmacy Technician license, certification, or registration may be required based on state requirements.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB preferred and may be required for certain locations.
• Experience in a high-volume claims processing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise billing, accounts receivable, and collections to ensure accuracy, timely completion, and high customer service.
• Manage team productivity and performance against established metrics, including production and error rates.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach, evaluate, and develop team members; address performance or disciplinary matters as needed.
• Ensure all claims are adjudicated and billing batches are completed and posted accurately.
• Monitor prior authorization and rejection queues and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Review patient, insurance, and billing information for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze operational reports and variances; provide necessary corrections.
• Assist with month-end close activities and account analyses.
