Our care model emphasizes early intervention, integrated services, and developmentally appropriate learning. We work closely with families to create individualized therapy plans, set meaningful goals, and build skills that support each child’s growth. Our approach brings together specialized autism care, including the Early Start Denver Model, with coordinated services tailored to each child and family.

Our Billing team plays an essential role in that work by supporting accurate reimbursement, clear communication, and dependable day-to-day operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, solving operational problems, and building processes that can grow with the organization.
  • The role is a strong fit for an organized, analytical people leader who combines operational discipline with compassion. We are looking for someone who can independently manage a high volume of work, develop a capable team, and turn recurring challenges into lasting improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Team leadership and development: Lead, coach, and develop five Billing Specialists through clear expectations, regular feedback, performance management, and career development. • Daily billing operations: Oversee claim submission, claim corrections, payment posting, denial resolution, accounts receivable follow-up, secondary billing, and family invoicing. Maintain clear ownership of work queues and address backlogs, missed deadlines, and unresolved items.
  • Performance management and analysis:Define and monitor productivity, accuracy, timeliness, clean-claim rates, denial trends, payment-posting performance, and accounts receivable aging. Use operational and financial data to prioritize work, diagnose root causes, and measure improvement.
  • Escalation management: Resolve operational and claim-level escalations, ensuring issues have clear owners and next steps. Identify recurring problems and elevate issues requiring Director-level decisions or coordination across departments.
  • Standard operating procedures and quality:Develop, maintain, and reinforce standard operating procedures, training materials, quality controls, escalation paths, and payer-specific guidance. Use quality reviews and recurring errors to inform coaching and process improvements.
  • Process improvement and implementation:Translate approved automation, system changes, vendor workflows, policies, and new-market requirements into practical team workflows. Coordinate training, clarify responsibilities, and monitor adoption and results.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:Partner other RCM teams, Finance, and Technology to resolve dependencies affecting billing accuracy, claim submission, and reimbursement.
  • Compliance:Ensure billing workflows follow applicable federal, state, Medicaid, commercial-payer, and contractual requirements. Keep operating guidance current as requirements change.
