Riemer Eye Center in Ludington, MI seeks an experienced Billing Manager to lead the Billing Department on-site. This role focuses on developing people, improving processes, and driving revenue cycle excellence within a healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will manage medical and surgical billing operations, collaborate with physicians and IT, and implement best practices to ensure accurate, timely claims and strong patient service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years medical billing experience with EMR/Practice Management system
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing requirements, claim submission, collections and reimbursement processes
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to motivate and develop team
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support the Billing Team to create a professional and accountable work environment
• Monitor productivity, accuracy, quality, and department performance; provide ongoing development
• Oversee medical and surgical billing operations including claims submission and denial management
• Collaborate with physicians, managers, IT, and vendors to improve workflows and revenue cycle performance
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and industry best practices
• Balance end-of-day records and monitor payment trends and opportunities
