Waste Management in Baton Rouge seeks a Billing Manager to lead the Billing team, directing activities, maintaining ledgers and financial statements. The role focuses on organizing resources, ensuring efficient operations and cost effectiveness across billing systems.

You will supervise staff accountants, guide personnel needs, and contribute to performance evaluations, promotions, and coaching. Requires strong accounting knowledge and leadership experience in billing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study.
• High School Diploma or GED and 4 additional years of relevant experience.
• 7 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirements).

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct Billing activities, including maintaining ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Prepare and maintain account records and billing data; organize resources to accomplish activities.
• Oversee efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.
• Monitor Billing processes, procedures and expenses; drive team performance toward goals.
• Provide guidance and leadership to staff accountants.
• Oversee personnel needs including selecting, coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance.
