Job summary

Vantage is seeking a mid-level Data Infrastructure and Systems Specialist to support the Utility Billing team within Business Operations. This role helps ensure the reliability, accuracy, traceability, and automation of energy metering and billing data across North American facilities.

The Specialist coordinates with cross-functional teams to enable accurate ingestion and delivery of meter data into internal databases.

Qualifications

• Develop and support scalable data solutions, owns the data, validates meter readings and configurations.
• Develop backend services and automation using Python, Golang, Java, Bash, and SQL.
• Monitor end-to-end data pipelines from site metering and BMS/Ignition to PostgreSQL and MS SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database tables, views, stored procedures, and functions used by reporting tools and downstream applications, with DBA coordination.
• Assist with approved schema changes and database deployments using change-management and CI/CD processes.
• Maintain accurate, version-controlled documentation for CoreDB, data structures, and changes.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for high-volume meter-data analysis, reporting and reconciliation.
• Investigate slow or inefficient queries and discrepancies between source and downstream systems.
• Trace data lineage to identify gaps, incorrect mappings, and processing issues.
• Develop and maintain backend services and automation to support billing operations.
