Job summary

The Midtown Service and Treatment Center (MSTC) in St. Louis is seeking a Senior Billing Clerk who will support billing for contract, insurance and private-pay services and help the organization achieve its mission of helping individuals build a better life.

The full-time role requires proficiency with CIMOR and Credible EMR, strong Microsoft Office skills, attention to compliance with policies, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years related experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and online billing systems/databases.
• CPR/First Aid certification must be obtained within 90 days.
• Annual TB test required per policy.
• Team player, self-starter and able to perform with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing functions in CIMOR, EHR and collection system; file claims for all third-party payers and apply payments.
• Perform daily and monthly audits on all services; provide weekly and monthly reports to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements; report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Provide information to state and auditing entities as requested.
• Provide interim coverage in absence of Billing Manager or Office Manager.
• Support Tree of Light functions during fall/winter and attend department meetings.
