Job summary

Clinton Counseling Center, a program of Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc., is seeking a Billing Coordinator to handle insurance billing and related activities for our Mount Clemens outpatient clinic. This full-time in-person role offers future FTE possibilities and emphasizes HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.

Compensation starts at $20 per hour with a 403b retirement plan (10% matching) and an Employment Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with some college preferred.
• Experience with third-party billing and county FOCUS billing is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Accounting knowledge and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Verify daily posting accuracy for patients.
• Prepare billing for OP & IOP (Third-Party Insurance, Medicaid, MCCMH).
• Coordinate admission documentation for billing accuracy.
• Post all insurance payments and verify private insurances.
• Prepare billing and payroll for Community Corrections.
• Maintain billing information using eThomas and ensure timely statements.
