Job summary

Clinton Counseling Center, a program of Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc., is a nonprofit outpatient clinic in Mount Clemens providing substance use and mental health services. We are seeking a Billing Coordinator to manage all insurance billing and payments for services. The role is in-person and full-time with potential future full-time options.

Hours are 8-5 with no weekends. Compensation is $20/hour with a 403b retirement plan and EAP benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Experience with third-party billing and MCCMH/F lakh focus billing preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
• Attention to detail and strong math skills are essential.
• Ability to work professionally with coworkers, management, and clients.
• Must complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Verifies daily posting accuracy for patients.
• Prepares OP & IOP billing for third-party insurance, Medicaid, MCCMH.
• Coordinates admission documentation for billing accuracy.
• Posts all insurance payments and verifies private insurances.
• Prepares Billing and Payroll for Community Corrections.
• Maintains current third-party billing information in eThomas.
• Prepares/mails/follow-ups on monthly statements.
• Contacts insurers to resolve denied claims.
• Completes quarterly billing audits of patient charts.
• Organizes client accounts and documents overpayments refunds.
• Notifies Finance on refunds and coordinates credentialing as needed.
• Manages petty cash and performs other duties as assigned.
