Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest in Tustin, CA, is seeking a Billing & Collections Specialist to manage selected client portfolios, pursue past due payments, and resolve disputes per policy. The role requires office administration skills and strong MS Word/Excel proficiency.

You will work with the Collections Manager to monitor accounts, generate reports, and support cash reconciliation in Oracle, with standard full-time hours and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Typing, data entry and 10-key accuracy required.
• Experience answering phones professionally and timely.
• AS/AA in Accounting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in conference calls on collections activity.
• Resolve cash discrepancies by researching payments in Oracle.

• Complete side projects as assigned.

Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest is looking to add a Billing & Collections Specialist with strong office administration skills to our team in Tustin.

The Billing & Collections Specialist is assigned an account portfolio and is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the status of client accounts within the portfolio. Contacting clients for payment of past due invoices, researching and resolving conflicts that result in the client delaying payment. Works accounts as directed by the collections manager and within collections policy. Communicate account issues and compile reports for use by management in making critical client account decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain accounts within assigned portfolio.
• Contact clients via verbal and written communication for payment of past due invoices.
• Provide information and/or documentation to both internal and external clients.
• Interact with Collections Manager and Operation Designees to resolve client issues.
• Maintain current and accurate account notes in collections software
• Provide updates on accounts to Collections Manager, Operations and Sales as needed.
• Work daily follow up queue in collections software.
• Notify the Collections Manager of negative payment patterns.
• Facilitate and/or attend conference calls specific to collections activity on client accounts.
• Resolve cash discrepancies on client accounts by research in Oracle of payment application.
• Process credit card payments.
• Complete side projects/ task as assigned by Collections Manager.

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Word,Excel and Outlook
• Proficient in typing, data entry and 10-key
• Experienceanswering phones professionally and timely
• Experience withCollections policies, procedures and best practices preferred
• AS/AA in Accounting or related field preferred
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Compensation Range: $20 - $24 per hour depending on level of experience and qualifications.

Position is full-time, and eligible for overtime pay. Candidates must be available to work the following shifts with possible overtime and weekends as needed:

• Monday - Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM
