Job summary

Chapman Chevrolet in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Billing Clerk to join our business office team. You will support timely and accurate billing of sold vehicles by ensuring all sales and finance documents are complete and accurate.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent follow-up skills, and a commitment to consistent, accurate work.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with pay starting at $20/hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Automotive accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Attention to detail to ensure high accuracy.
• Knowledge of general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication for cross-department coordination.
• Integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices and issue credit memos.
• Post and reconcile bank proceeds to the general ledger.
• Review and audit vehicle deals for accuracy and compliance.
• Process time-sensitive contracts and sales documents.
• Maintain general ledger schedules for accuracy.
• Process warranties and aftermarket documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

About the Role

In this role, you will support the timely and accurate billing of sold vehicles by ensuring all required sales and finance documentation is complete and accurate. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent follow-up skills, and a commitment to consistent, accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting functions related to billing vehicle deals, including preparing invoices and issuing credit memos


• Post and Reconcile bank proceeds to the general ledger in a timely manner


• Review and audit vehicle deals to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures


• Process time-sensitive contracts and sales documentation accurately and efficiently


• Monitor, reconcile, and maintain general ledger schedules to ensure financial accuracy


• Process and submit warranties and aftermarket warranty documentation in accordance with guidelines


• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Automotive accounting experience strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, including general ledger entries and reconciliations


• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
